Satellite Electrical System Engineer
OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for a wide range of missions - including communications, Earth observation, and space research and exploration - serving both institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe.

Your Tasks will include, but not limited to:
Satellite electrical system engineering and electrical architecture,
Coordination between subsystems (EPS, TTC, DHS, Harness), system level activities (EMC, Radiation, Thermal, CAD) and AIT
Support to subsystems design, analysis, budgets, etc.
Participation in system level reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR),
Support to tests specifications.
This is a leading position in the project: you will be required to provide guidance to other project members while fulfilling responsibilities regarding the design of the satellite.
Required Qualifications:
Master Level degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering,
>5-year experience in satellite electrical system engineering or the following relevant satellite subsystems: EPS, TTC, DHS
Relevant experience in medium or large ESA missions (at least class II or class III),
Relevant experience in data handling definition and avionics architecture definition,
Experience in spacecraft power sizing, architecture and definition,
Experience in Space Radiation Environments and Effects on electronics
Experience in requirements management software (i.e. DOORS)
Very good ability to navigate ECSS documents,
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
Familiarities in satellite mechanical and thermal design,
Familiarities in harness design, EMC design rules and system grounding scheme,
Familiarities with scripting languages (Python) mostly for data treatment and plotting,
Fluent in English.
Advantageous additional qualifications:
Familiarity with satellite AIT,
Knowledge in leadership and small team management,
Familiarities with MBSE,
Familiarities with EGSE definition,
Familiarity with propulsion systems,
Additional related certifications,

Interdisciplinary and international team working and ability to work autonomously are key to a for this role. So, we’re looking for a proactive team player who learns quickly, provides technical guidance to colleagues, and can also work independently. Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a pragmatic approach are essential - focusing on achieving the right balance of quality and timely delivery.
Travels will be required (5-6 trips per year, mostly in Continental Europe).
