OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for space missions in, for example, communication, earth observation and space research for institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe.

At us you are going to be a big part of our defense projects and work with new and challenging spacecraft and small constellation programs - commercially, nationally and with the European Space Agency.

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with several years of experience as in the role to lead and manage a team up to 10 people for the product of a satellite.

In this role you are overall responsible for the execution of our defense projects that can be one unique constellation of one satellite or a larger constellation of several satellites. The projects can include the development, integration and delivery of a Satellite, Propulsion Sub-system or AOCS sub-system.

You will be the key contact for our customers and your role will impact on many areas, including the financial standing and the reputation of the company. One of our latest big projects is the AWS satellite that's has successfully launched 2024.

Main tasks:

• Main formal interface to the Customer for the projects under his/her responsibility
• Lead a team up to 10-15 people.
• Lead your team in line with the Project requirements and our project management processes. The project team generally consists of members of the engineering team, MAIT/production team, Quality department, and members of the Project Office team.
• Control and steer projects and initiate remedial actions in case of cost overruns, technical issues or schedule slippage.
• Resource planning to secure resources in the matrix of projects/departments in collaboration with the departments managers.
• Contribute to prioritization in case of resource conflicts/overload
• Negotiate with customers regarding changes to project baselines (scope, schedule and cost)
• This role includes some travel.

Your work experience:

• Proven experience as Project Manager in a high-technology projects a track record of covering technical and programmatic aspects (financial, schedule, contractual).
• Experience working with customers in the defense sector.
• At least 9 years of experience as a project manager.
• Sound technical understanding of mechanical, thermal, electrical, electronical disciplines.
• Fluent in Swedish and English language, both spoken and written

Your educational background:

• Academic degree, preferable from a technical university or similar.
• Strong knowledge of project management discipline and methodology.
