Technician in Electronics - OHB Sweden
OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for space missions in, for example, communication, earth observation and space research for institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated all-round electronics technician to work in our production and testing operations. As a production technician, you will be part of the production department, whose primary focus is to build and test propulsion subsystems and satellites. In this role, you will work both in an office environment and in a lab/cleanroom environment to manufacture, test, and handle sensitive hardware and electronics. As a side role you will develop, build and test electrical ground support equipment. The work involves regular travel abroad, 1-5 trips per year.
Your Tasks:
- Planning and organizing daily work in a structured and efficient manner
- Manufacturing and testing electronic harnesses, including crimping and soldering
- Integrating mechanical and electronic systems
- Procurement of electronic components and tools
- Testing of electronic hardware
- Setting up test environments and supporting functional tests
- General technical problem-solving
- Writing technical documentation in English
Your Qualifications:
- Completed technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent, from high school or college
- Experience in crimping and soldering
- Work experience in industries with high-quality requirements such as the aviation industry or medical equipment
Advantageous:
- Experience working in clean rooms.
- Experience handling highly sensitive and valuable products.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and requirements.
